Common questions

Do I need to know how to code?

You need basic comfort with the terminal (running commands like npm install) and the ability to follow guided steps. You don't need to know React Native — Claude walks you through every change. The QUICKSTART doc assumes zero prior mobile-dev knowledge.

What does the AI actually do?

The kit ships as a Claude Code workspace with 16 skills baked in. When you ask "fill out the Data Safety form," Claude routes to the submission-wizard skill, which contains the actual field-by-field knowledge. You're not getting a generic AI — you're getting a domain expert.

Do I need a Mac for iOS?

Not strictly. EAS Cloud Builds (Expo's hosted service) runs iOS builds in the cloud — free tier covers low-volume, ~$99/mo Production tier for unlimited. We document both paths.

How long until my app is live on the stores?

Realistic timeline: ~3 weeks for both stores. The bottleneck is Google's mandatory 14-day Closed Alpha for new personal accounts. Apple App Review usually takes 1-3 days. We can't go faster than the platforms allow, but we eliminate the "I got stuck on the form for 3 days" delays.

Can I cancel?

Anytime. Keep what you've built — your repo, your code, your published apps. You stop receiving updates to the kit (skill changes for new policies) but everything else is yours.

What if Apple rejects my app?

Standard issue. We have a rejections playbook in the submission-wizard skill covering Guidelines 4.3, 5.1.1, 2.1, 3.1.1, 4.0, 5.0, 4.1, 2.3, 4.5. Paste your rejection email and Claude walks you through the fix.

Does it work for games?

The legal templates, store submission wizard, monetization setup all work for games. The starter app uses Expo (React Native), which isn't ideal for high-performance games — for those, you'd use Unity or Godot and skip the template-app, but use everything else.

What if I already have an app?

Drop your existing repo into the kit's structure or copy individual skills into your `.claude/skills/` folder. Most buyers use the submission-wizard + setup-legal skills retroactively even if they didn't start with QwikApp.

Is my data private?

Everything runs locally in Claude Code on your machine. We don't see your code, your app, your accounts, or your data. Your API keys, certificates, and store credentials stay in your password manager + your machine.
